Mum Mum's and Babies is a year-round home-based daycare in Bethesda, MD. Our family child care program is run by Shweta Kumar who has more than 14 years of child care experience. Shweta is also a mother of two and has completed hundreds of hours of child-care certification courses. We have a staff of two full-time and one part-time caretakers. All of our staff are CPR and first-aid certified, as well as MAT trained and can administer medication to the children in our care if needed.

 

We are open from 8:00am until 5:45pm and care for children as young as 6 weeks through 5 years old. We offer preschool, as well as full-time and part-time child care. We provide lunch and snacks for an additional fee. At a minimum, our teachers have a Bachelor's degree. We have bilingual teachers who can instruct your child in French and English. 

 

We provide full-time and part-time daycare and drop-in care for children between the ages of 6 weeks through 5 years old. We also offer before and after school care for older kids, up to 7 years old. We honestly believe that children are born with a tremendous potential and capacity for learning across all developmental domains: physical, cognitive, emotional, language, and social development. The adults who live and care for infants and young children play an important role in laying the foundation and setting the stage for learning success. We ensure that we care and have the knowledge and resources to support and encourage children during the ongoing process of growth and learning. 

 

In our daycare, we do many hands on activities and also log your child's everyday activities in a journal which is sent home everyday for the parents to see. We do lots of crafts, outside play, fun games, face painting and baking. We provide material equipment for crafts and mantain simple routines that the child can follow in their following age groups.
